Brief Abstract: Requirements for high-performance parallel software for Super computers have been formulated.  To implement these requirements:

  • Irregular point-wise parallelization methods were proposed that were implemented in group-owned (know-how) baseline parallel codes.  Gas dynamics and heat conduction codes were developed based on the above codes.  Models that allow scalability predictions were developed for those codes;
  • Performance measurement results and assessment of prediction accuracy were also provided;
  • Dynamic balancing issues were reviewed, and methods for addressing these issues were proposed.
