Title: Plans for the GNEP Fuels Modeling and Simulation Effort Speaker: Dana Knoll, Idaho National Laboratories Date/Time: Tuesday, April 24, 2007, 9:00am – 10:00am Location: CSRI Building, Room 90 (Sandia NM) Brief Abstract: The development of transmutation fuels for the GNEP program will be technically challenging and requires the support of advanced simulation. The standard experimental approach to nuclear fuels development must be accelerated. Also, there is a limited capability to perform irradiation testing with a fast neutron spectrum. A Modeling and Simulation program will be utilized to help with both of these issues.
