Title: Titan Toolkit Tutorial Speaker: Brian Wylie (Sandia National Laboratories), Tim Shead (Sandia National Laboratories), and Jeff Baumes (Kitware Inc) Date/Time: Thursday, October 9, 2008, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location: CSRI Building, Room 90 (Sandia NM) Brief Abstract: Sandia's Titan toolkit is an advanced software architecture that unifies visualization, graph algorithms and analysis capabilities into a single toolkit. The Titan architecture has a set of flexible, lightweight adapters to support running algorithms from other internal Sandia projects and external third-party libraries including the Multi-Threaded Graph Library (MTGL), the Boost Graph Library (BGL), the Parallel Boost Graph Library (PBGL), and the Trilinos and Matlab packages for linear algebra and advanced tensor methods. This tutorial gives a detailed overview of the new components and demonstrates their use within a flexible pipeline architecture. Attendees will learn the basics of using Titan for information visualization with a focus on building quick, functional applications. The tutorial will also demonstrate how users can extend the current capabilities to include their own functionality.CSRI POC: Brian Wylie, (505) 844-2238 |
