Jorge Lach is a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, and a System
Architect in Sun's Network Systems Group. His current role is system
architecture of blade servers for markets such as Enterprise and High
Performance Computing. During his 13 years at Sun, Jorge has worked
in multiple projects, including I/O chip design, and was the system
architect for the Sun Fire v880. Previously, Jorge has worked at Data
General and Applicon/Schlumberger designing graphics accelerators.
Jorge graduated from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology with
a BSEE, and holds an MSCS from Columbia University and an MBA from
