Jay Owen recently joined AMD, as Division Marketing Manager for compute intensive applications. Prior to joining AMD he ran a private consulting practice specializing in business development for life sciences computing technologies. Jay has over 25 years experience in the industry, more than half in the use of high performance technologies to complex scientific problems dating back to his days at Digital Equipment Corporation. Jay holds a BME/EE from Kettering University; an MBA from Harvard and has completed graduate level studies in cell and molecular biology at the University of Massachusetts. He and his family live outside Boston Massachusetts, home of the 2004 World Series Champions, the Boston Red Sox.
