Steve Reinhardt has worked on parallel system design issues for several
projects, ranging from software project leader for the Cray T3D project
to product team leader for SGI's Altix system to co-principal investigator
for SGI's HPCS Phase I project to software/performance lead on SGI's
next-generation Ultraviolet project. Currently he is working as a Principal
Engineer at SGI on the application of Star-P to computationally demanding
problems, especially graph analysis and pattern discovery. His main interests
are the integration of hardware, software, and application abilities
to provide high system performance, and the development of easier software
means, like programming models and job scheduling, to exploit the performance
of highly parallel systems.
