Mr. James B. White III (Trey) is in the Scientific Computing Group of
the National Center for Computational Sciences at Oak Ridge National
Laboratory (ORNL). Trey earned his Masters degree in Physics from
the Ohio State University in 1996. After additional graduate work
in computer science, he spent a year at the Ohio Supercomputer Center
and then the ERDC Major Shared Resource Center before joining the
ORNL Center for Computational Sciences in 1999. Trey has worked on
a variety of supercomputer applications, including climate dynamics,
materials science, and fusion energy. He is interested in the design
of software, hardware, and programming languages for high-end scientific
computing.
