Arthur S. (Buddy) Bland is the Computer Resources Manager for the Center for Computational Sciences at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In this capacity, he is in charge of the CCS computer systems, ARM/CCS storage system, and Visualization Laboratory. Prior to this position, Mr. Bland was the system manager for the Cray X-MP system in the Computer and Telecommunications Division. Mr. Bland came to Oak Ridge after a tour of duty in the Air Force serving as an instructor at Keesler AFB Mississippi and the system manager of the Cray 1 at the Air Force Weapons Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has a M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
