Jeff Brown has been a member of the
technical staff at Los Alamos National Laboratory since 1989 and is currently
the program manager for computer science within the Advanced Simulation and Computing
(ASCI) program at LANL. As such, Jeff oversees the research development and deployment
of system software targeted for emerging and next generation large scale high
performance platforms at L:ANL such as Q and the linux-based "pink"
system. Previously Jeff led the development of the Los Alamos Debugger (ldb) and
a team that established the first workstation cluster based production system
at LANL. Prior to joining LANL, Jeff spent five years as a site analyst and system
software developer for Cray Research.
