Wayne Kugel is Cray Inc.'s Operations Executive for Red Storm and Professional Services. Mr. Kugel is responsible for leveraging Cray Inc.'s products and capabilities to deliver supercomputing solutions to some of today's most challenging government and scientific computational challenges. Red Storm is a supercomputer system leveraging over 10,000 AMD Opteron(tm) processors connected by an innovative high speed, high bandwidth 3D mesh interconnect designed by Cray. The Red Storm system will support the U.S. Department of Energy's ASCII stockpile stewardship program with added modeling and simulation capabilities. Cray Inc. is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the Red Storm supercomputer. Prior to joining Cray Inc., Mr. Kugel was a Solutions Executive for IBM's Enterprise Customer Analytics group, a worldwide organization responsible for delivering advanced analytic solutions to commercial industries.
