Matthew Sottile received a BS in
Computer Science and Mathematics and MS in Computer Science from the University
of Oregon. Graduate work focused on techniques at the compiler level for automated
simulation coupling. Current work is in two areas: cluster systems software
and scientific programming environments. Currently lead developer for the Supermon
cluster monitoring system, which emphasizes scalable monitoring while minimizing
perturbation. In addition to the software, working on data analysis techniques
for failure anticipation and system status forecasting based on monitoring data.
Work in programming environments is primarily working on the language interoperability
layers used by the DOE CCA Forum efforts, with a strong emphasis on Fortran
95 and C++ integration.
