Dr. Pete Wyckoff is a research scientist
at the Ohio Supercomputer Center where he works on projects focused on reducing
the overhead of communications on commodity clusters particularly for message
passing and file system operations. He has expertise in a wide range of network
protocols and technologies, and excels in cluster design for scalability and ease
of administration. He received his B.S. from Caltech in Chemical Engineering,
and Ph.D. from MIT in the same field with a dissertation related to the application
of high-performance computing to complex finite element calculations.
