Verde Mesh Verification Suite
Verde is a software tool for verifying the quality of finite element models.
These quality measures are calculated by Verde:
- A wide range of element metrics, including state of the art algebraic metrics.
- Model topology.
- Interface continutity.
- Connectivity problems.
Verde provides a cross-platform graphical user interface and graphical and numeric output useful for evaluating the quality of
a finite element model. It is designed to be a testbed for additional metrics research. |

Other features include:
- Mesh Editing
- Read in one or multiple mesh files
- Select desired blocks, sidesets, and nodesets for output.
- Output selections to a new mesh file.
- High-Quality Graphics
- Color code element blocks.
- Draw labels for nodes and elements.
- Choose label font.
- Draw individual nodes and elements.
- Fit model to screen automatically with AutoFit option.
- Perform model transformations quickly with Quick Transform option.
- XYZ reference axis shows current spatial position of model.
- Toggle between perspective and orthographic views.
- Customize mouse buttons to control rotate, pan, and zoom acoording to user preferences.
- Adjust size of points.
Other Benefits:
- Output of quality information is organized into algebraic, traditional, and diagnositc areas.
- Defaults file is now in standard journal file format (a converter is available for old-style
defaults files)
- Verde now remembers its layout, including window positions.
- Improved detection of internal quads sharing three nodes.
- Improved block activation/deactivation speed.
