NAME

cgui - start up the Curses or Tk user interface

MODULE

base

SYNOPSIS

cgui [ --help ] [ -db connectstring ] [--tk|--curses]

DESCRIPTION

The cgui is an interactive interface to many of the tools in the CIToolkit. It can be used on either a text console through the Curses interface, or on a graphical console with Tk.

OPTIONS

--db <connectstring> Database type and connection information. For GDBM, "GDBM:" followed by the filename of the cluster database to use. For LDAP, the syntax is "LDAP:host:port:dbname"

--tk
Run CGUI using the perl-tk X windows UI

--curses Run CGUI using the Curses character UI

--help Print extended usage information

--man Print this manpage.

NOTES

If neither the tk or curses options are given, cgui will attempt to start the Tk interface, and fall back to Curses if the appropriate libraries or an X display is not available.

More documentation can (or will eventually) be found by running the cgui and selecting the "Help" menu.

FILES

The default paths for location of the cluster configuration database, cloned directories, supporting libraries, and other settings are recorded in the CConf.pm config file. Set the environment variable CLUSTER_CONFIG to the location of CConf.pm, or use the default of /cluster/config
