SYNOPSIS

discover [--db <dbname> | --new | --config[only] | --debug <n> | --depth <n> ] <target>


DESCRIPTION

The discover script reads the cluster database and attempts to contact each device in the target list in order. Depending on options used, the script can be used to query new equipment and update the database with new information, set parameters on configurable devices or simply confirm information already discovered and report status.


OPTIONS

--db <dbname> Filename of cluster database to use.

--new Attempt to obtain mac addresses from new equipment, and store the information in the cluster database.

--config Set parameters on configurable equipment. (BIOS, SRM, terminal server configs, etc.)

--configonly Same as --config, but skip updating of the database.

--all Discover and/or configure support devices, as well as nodes.

--debug <n> Print informational messages on progress.

--depth <n> Limit traversal to the given depth..

--help Print manpage.


NOTES

Set the environment variable CLUSTER_CONFIG to the location of the cluster database, for example /cluster/machine/machine_name.


FILES

The default paths for location of the database, cloned directories, and other defaults are recorded in $CLUSTER_CONFIG/CConf.pm.
