NAME

cluster_hw_test - test the list of devices/collections as a cluster unit

MODULE

diag

SYNOPSIS

cluster_hw_test [--help] [--debug] [--net] <device|collection>...

DESCRIPTION

Test the list of devices or collections as a cluster unit, i.e. cluster_hw_test is a wrapper around lower level utilities in the CIToolkit diag module such as node_hw_test and node_hw_analyze.

OPTIONS

--db <datasource> Database type and connection information. For GDBM, "GDBM:" followed by the filename of the cluster database to use. For LDAP, the syntax is "LDAP:host:port:dbname"

--help Print manpage.

--debug <level> Turn on debugging output (if there is any)

--net Run the suite of network tests on the specified devices/collections. (ping, netperf, etc.)

--useinetd Rely on inetd.conf or xinetd to startup needed servers, only a possibility with the --net tests right now, instead of starting the servers in this script.

NOTES

This script should be run from an admin node of the cluster.

FILES

/cluster/tmp/node_hw_tests/* /cluster/machine/data/node_hw_values.* /cluster/tmp/node_hw_tests/node_hw_report.tab*

Paths and other defaults are recorded in CConf.pm.
