Name

troute - utility (for testing a specified myrinet route on Cplant)

Synopsis

troute  sequence-of-route-bytes

Description

troute must be run as the superuser.

troute is a ping utility for myrinet on Cplant. It is run on a service or compute node to test myrinet connectivity via a specified route. It takes as argument a space-separated list of route bytes in the form 0xST where S and T are hex digits.

troute is a C program that makes ioctl() calls to the portals and rtscts devices.

troute is primarily intended to be used in conjunction with routes that double back to the node of origin -- a self-ping test is performed on which success or failure is reported. However,

troute can also be used to just send a ping packet out the specified path. If that path terminates in another node, the other node can be monitored for the arrival of a ping type packet.

troute must be run as the superuser.

Exit Code

Zero if successful, nonzero otherwise.
