The main PCT loop processes these messages:
- requests from yod
- to load a new application
- to interrupt the application process with SIGTERM or SIGKILL
- to provide a stack trace of a faulted application process
- to transition back to free because the parallel application is done
- requests from the bebopd
- for a status report
- to interrupt application process with SIGTERM (pingd -interrupt)
- to kill application process with SIGKILL (pingd -reset)
- for the PCT to exit
- messages from the user application that was started by the PCT
requesting node ID map and other data necessary to set
up the parallel application
- messages from a user's Totalview debugging session or
cgdb debugging sesssion to be forwarded to the debugging
session on the compute node
