Configuration Files and Log files

There are a few configuration files accessed by the runtime daemons and utilities. The pathname to these files is coded into the daemons and utilities, but may be overridden by environment variables or by entries in a site file.

The yod application launcher writes a user log file as does the bebopd. Also, all utilities and daemons that use the Cplant server library log exceptions and warnings to a log file. The bebopd writes a restart file when it exits. The pathnames to these files may also be specified via environment variables or site file entries.

The configuration files and log files for PBS are described separately in the PBS chapter.
