User log file

Upon completion of the application, yod write a line to a file logging the user's activity. It looks like this:

05/30/2001 14:59:31 05/30/2001 14:59:46 00:00:15 0010
lafisk /cplant/test/tshello, Cplant #102 , 0..4,6,16..18,20

We show the entry on two lines here for readability, but in the log file it is all on one line.

The fields in order are:

If the parallel application were part of a PBS job, the PBS job ID would be listed as well.

When a new virtual machine is set up, you need to determine where the user log file should be written. If the virtual machine has more than one service node, it may be best to have a separate log file for each service node. By default yod will try to write log entries to /tmp/userlog. You can override this default by creating a site file entry named LOGFILENAME
