This web page hosts the paper, supplemental material and Matlab code for a reference implementation of the Data Visualization Saliency (DVS) model described in "Data Visualization Saliency Model: A Tool for Evaluating Abstract Data Visualizations" by Matzen, Haass, Divis, Wang and Wilson.

The Code

Our implementation extends Harel's original Graph Based Visual Saliency code from Caltech. (You do not need to download Harel's code to run our version.) You will need Matlab with the Image Processing and Computer Vision System toolboxes to run it.

In accordance with the restrictions on the original GBVS code, we make this implementation available for RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. You must agree to the licensing terms below in order to download the code.
