Time stability and invariance analysis of staggered methods
Previous/next topic

Spetral radius as a function of the Courant and (non-dimensional) wave numbers, for two-iterations of the predictor/multi-corrector.

Recent studies [1] on predictor/multi-corrector time integrators commonly used in shock hydrodynamics  computations revealed a curious phenomenon. The odd iterates are unconditionally unstable, while the even are conditionally stable. In addition, angular momentum conservation and incremental ojectivity properties are studied in [2].
